For the past 3.5 years, I have documented my daily life through a fine art, self-portrait series, entitled, “Mine.” It was my way of adding to the narrative about transgender people, by a transgender person. All too often, the agency to tell our own stories is taken from us, or is unavailable to us. But I started where I was, with what I had- my camera, my body, my identity, my day-to-day situations- and began to tell my story.
